flagstone patio might be just the thing for you

There are many different landscaping options that you can do to your home that will improve not only the usability and functionality of your property but also the aesthetic appeal of your home’s outdoors. One of the best ways to improve your property in terms of landscaping is with flagstone. Flagstone is durable, looks great, and doesn’t need to be perfectly aligned, making it more freeing to install. If you are thinking of flagstone for your yard, but aren’t quite sure how to use it, here are a few ideas:

1.  Patio- If you want a patio without the hassle of pouring concrete, a flagstone patio might be just the thing for you. With a flagstone patio, you can make your patio most any size or shape relatively easily.

2.  Walkway- A high-traffic area in your yard is probably just begging for a flagstone walkway! If there are areas around your yard where people are walking so consistently that the grass struggles to grow there, think of a flagstone walkway like putting down a runner rug on your hardwood! It gives definition and protection for those high-traffic areas.

3.  Firepit- A firepit, whether it’s a permanent structure or a more portable variety, can use a great flagstone space. This keeps the firepit flat and level while also protecting the surrounding area from flyaway sparks.

Here at Maxwell Stone, we love using flagstone for these purposes and many others. We would love to hear your ideas as well — how would you use flagstone in your yard and landscaping?
